The following is from Oceania:

People should watch the news for the latest info

Oceania says:
The conditions have not improved and more airports are shutting down as a result of the ash.  We are working through the process since yesterday to try and accommodate guests who are flying.  It is impacting both the embarking and disembarking guests.  Many airlines are working with passengers but others are basically telling them they are on their own.
We are working with all the guests who we have provided air for to get them re-booked.  All cruise only guests should be directed to their airline/travel agent for assistance as there is nothing we can do operationally for them since we did not issue the air ticket.

Do they post any information on problems like this on their website or just sent to TA’s?
Some Cruiselines have posted on the website on what people should do

Thanks

Hi Lyn, As far as I know Oceania is not posting this info on their website. I have been checking by phone with them every couple of hours and will post all new information here.

From Oceania:

INSIGNIA ITINERARY UPDATE

Due to the massive air traffic interruptions in and around Europe, we wish to provide an update on the situation. To allow guests that are still enroute ample time to meet the ship, Insignia stayed in Barcelona for an extra day and sailed Monday evening. To accommodate this change, the ship will bypass Palma de Mallorca and proceed to Marseille where it will arrive as scheduled at 8 AM on Tuesday. Insignia will continue on her published schedule from Marseille onwards.

We continue to work to re-route and re-accommodate air-sea guests to join the ship downline in Marseille, Florence or Rome.

Guests who disembarked in Barcelona are being looked after by our ground operations team. Air-sea guests have all been provided hotel accommodations courtesy of Oceania Cruises and our team in Barcelona is doing everything within their power to provide assistance to all of our guests. We remain hopeful that the situation will improve in the coming days and will begin flying guests home as soon as the air traffic situation allows.

We will continue to provide updates as needed.

Just got home! the cruise was wonderful and the response of Oceania to the volcano eruption was by far outstanding. A very nice hotel, breakfast, and all travel arrangements taken care of. A Class Outfit. We met cruisers from other lines who were just put ashore with no help! The services were for those who booked air thru Oceania. All others were on their own - a good reason to use Oceania air! According to the Cruise Director only 40% of passengers use Oceania air package!
