There have been rumors that Regatta will cruise Alaska in 2011.  We’ve been holding off on an Alaska cruise until we could go on Oceania.  Please post any info about this as soon as it’s available.  Thanks, Marsha

Jan/Marcy:  Reading between the lines, I’d guess that “unofficially” you’ve heard something?  I sure hope so.  Oceania has posted European itineraries for 2011 for Insignia, Marina and Nautica, but Regatta’s last noted port is San Francisco - in April, I think.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed that she will be heading on from there to Alaska.  We’re definitely interested - will wait for the “official” word.  Marsha

As the 2nd place winner of the itinerary contest with an Alaska itinerary, I can say that I have some unofficial news.  I had a chance to talk about it when we were recently in Genoa.  What I heard was that Regatta will be going to Alaska in the Summer of 2011, but the official itineraries will not be released until some time in May.  I also heard that much of my suggested itinerary will be included, but it will be too difficult to arrange the special fuels necessary for cruising the Aleutians, at least the first year.
